We Believe Self-Care Is A Priority And Necessity
We truly believe that everyday rituals are a path to happiness. Rituals are those mindful things you do every day like taking a warm shower or bath, washing your hair, moisturizing your skin, and shaving. When you do them with intention and focus, your rituals keep you grounded ~ well balanced and sensible. They allow you to connect with yourself for a few moments before you rush off to a busy day and they help you wind down after a long, stressful one. Rituals bring your body and mind to a deeper connection with your spirit.
Unlike a routine which is functional steps you take to get something done (driving to work, feeding the dog, etc), a ritual is a series of steps that have been carefully chosen and sequenced to provide a side benefit. The side benefit might be relaxation. Feeling grounded. A spiritual connection. A sense of nourishment. A sense of purpose, or maybe even pure enjoyment.
Daily rituals are about loving yourself and connecting with your Higher Self, your Inner Wisdom, which is the nurturing guide that promotes harmony and prepares you for whatever stresses lie ahead. Small daily rituals help create a happier, healthier life, that's why we dedicate ourselves to creating amazingly rich, luxurious products to help you get the most enjoyment out of these simple, daily rituals.
Self-care is not a luxury or frivolous act. And, caring for yourself allows you to better care for others.
Our indie business was originally started as a handcrafted soap and candle company in 2002. We've always believed that self-care and all aspects of well-being (emotional, spiritual, and physical) are integral to better moods, restoration of energy and vitality, relief from stress, as well as maintaining healthy, glowing skin. Soaking in a tub or showering with products enriched with botanicals and aromatics is a wonderful way to decompress after a long day and can be self-care at its most pleasurable. But a terrible case of dermatitis from a commercial bath product took us down the path of researching and formulating our own bath and body products. In 2014, with lots of new products for bath, shower and body, we relaunched the business as Splash of Indigo.
We are dedicated to providing you with Artisan Soap and Bath & Body products that help you de-stress, unwind, revitalize and maintain healthy skin. Because we focus on quality and detail, each product is formulated in-house and handcrafted from scratch in small batches. We never use commercial pre-made bases. Every product is infused with good vibes and positive energy.
To conjure skin-loving botanicals and other quality ingredients into pampering potions that help transform your self-care routine from a mundane chore to a soothing, restorative ritual that rejuvenates and uplifts your body and spirit.
We are dedicated to making products that are as good for the Earth as they are for you. We are continually searching for ways to ensure sustainable practices in all aspects of our business. We carefully choose business materials and ingredients that are sustainable, biodegradable and renewable. We take care to support organic, and free trade when available.
Our soaps are packaged beautifully but minimally to reduce waste. Our containers are recyclable. Our cello bags and soap wraps are biodegradable and compostable. The packaging material we use to ship your order is also eco-friendly including our bubble wrap which is biodegradable, compostable and recyclable.
Why Splash of Indigo
The color indigo is associated with the element of water ~ which includes the bath and shower! Water is essential for life, nothing lives without it. Nearly 60% of the human body is composed of water. Water is cleansing, healing, nurturing, and sustaining ~ infuse with botanicals to make it more powerful!
Indigo is used to represent the color of one's unconscious (Higher) self ~ your inner wisdom or spirit self. Indigo is traditionally used as the color of royalty and spirituality. Indigo is purifying, calming, and sedating. Indigo is one of the colors in the rainbow and the color of the serene midnight sky.
So, wouldn't everyone benefit from a splash of indigo?
